How do I decide which property to choose?
Only you can make this decision based on your individual or family requirements. Where we can help is by providing all the information you need to make a decision and by bringing together a large selection of privately owned properties which are available for rental directly with the owner and displaying them in a clear and easy to understand way.

How do I check the availability?
When you find the property you prefer, click on the 'Check Rates and Availability' button, which is positioned immediately below the pictures on the brochure page. The diary is displayed and will show the available dates and the rental rate. Click on the dates required to see the booking summary details and the exact cost of your holiday accomodation.

How do I make a booking?
If you would like to make a booking for the property, simply click on the 'Book Now' button and following the instructions on screen

When is my booking confirmed?
Normally you can consider the booking confirmed as soon as you finish the input. Owners advertising on our website have agreed to make sure the diary is always up to date and accurately shows the availability. Our automated administration manager will immediately inform the owner of your booking and request a confirmation by return. Because we don't have total control over our advertisers, we strongly advise that you wait until you have confirmation of the booking and the owner has contacted you directly before you make any other bookings such as flights, car hire, golf, etc.

How do I pay?
DIRECTLY on the site using your credit card or debit card. The payment area is on a secure server so you can be sure you are fully protected. Depending on the time period before the holiday dates you will either have to pay just a deposit or the full cost.

Are there any booking fees or commission payments?
NO - we do not make a booking charge and there are no other charges to you for using our website.

How do I contact the owner?
AFTER - you have made a booking request, the owner will contact you and give you their direct contact details. If you wish to ask the owner something before you book, you should use the 'Ask Owner a Question' button on the brochure page. The request will be immediately sent to the owner who will be asked to reply to you as soon as possible.

Can I send the property details to a friend?
YES - you can send your friends or travelling companions the information on any property. When they receive the details, they can view the property and, if required, send the details to other contacts.

Can I cancel or change my booking?
No - as with any booking system, once you have had the booking confirmed you are legally obliged to honour the booking. For this reason we strongly advise that you make sure you have the necessary insurance to cover you for all eventualities. If you do need to make changes to the booking then you should contact the owner directly to see if he is able to change your booking. Most owner are flexible but be prepared to cover any costs that might be involved. Can I book my car hire thorough the website?
YES - we are able to offer very competitive rates for car hire based on actual number of days required. All our rates include fully comprehensive insurance and damage waiver cover, unlimited mileage and one additional driver. After you have received confirmation from the owner for your booking, you will be able to book car hire and other essential items through the Renter Services menu on the website homepage. Can I arrange my travel insurance thorough the website?
YES - just as you can book car hire, we can offer you very competitive rates for single or multi trip policies. These also provide cancellation cover and can be booked online via our insurance partners. To see details of their very competitive policies, Click Here.

Can I be met at the airport?
Many visitors, especially those arriving later in the evening and would prefer to be taken to their accommodation by someone who knows the route. We have many option packages possible including ‘Convoy Escort', ‘Minibus Transfer', ‘Limo Transfer' or 'Taxi Transfer' when you have booked your accommodation please ask us for a quote. If you book your car hire though us we can in some cases arrange for your car to be delivered to you the next morning

What about welcome packs and initial food supplies?
All our owners offer a complimentary welcome pack with a few starter products. For an extra nominal charge we offer the ‘Fridge Filler Service'* to save you from having to go shopping the moment you arrive (It's your holiday after all!). We will mail you a comprehensive shopping list - you check off the items you require and the quantities. When you arrive at your holiday location you will find them all neatly stacked in the fridge and kitchen storage. If you are arriving late and want us to arrange a sandwich, a salad or a snack, just let us know !
*The ‘Fridge Filler Service' is currently only available to clients of Portugal Property Rentals in the Algarve region only.

Can I book a Golf Game?
Portugal Property Rentals clients benefit from a discount Golf Package and worthwhile discounts at ALL courses throughout Portugal if we book the tee times. We have a Golf desk available for clients and we will shortly be able to offer ‘on line' bookings as a part of this site. Once you have booked your accommodation we will be able to make personal arrangements for you and your guests.
